Hatchling.

A catch all Term for the hatchlings of all Mirelurk Variants. The hatchlings are small soft shell crustacean life forks similar in size to crabs or lobsters of the old World, the Hatchlings pose little threat if dealt with at a safe distance but can become a serious threat up close. The Hatchlings are capable of leaping upto 10ft and latching themselves onto their Target draining the blood to feed themselves using this method a single clutch of hatchlings can take down prey as large as a brahmin.
Hatchlings grow Quickly and after a few weeks will move Into their short shelled form at this point they begin to show distinct features which can help to classify them.
A Mirelurk Egg Clutch contain 8-10 eggs, each clutch can hatch 1D10 Mirelurk hatchlings. Any Un-hatched eggs can then be collected.

The Hatchling Leaps upto 10ft to bite a single Target dealing 1D2 piercing Damage. Once the Hatchling has latched itself onto the Target it will begin to burrow into the targets flesh as part of the latch on action.

The Hatchling can burrow through Flesh, Fabric and leather. But cannot burrow through harder materials Such as metal, Ceramic tough plastic or kevlar.
When a Hatchling begins its latch on action it takes a Full round for the Hatchling to burrow deep enough Into its target to begin dealing Damage during this time it can be removed without Injuring the Host, once the Hatchling has Latched deep enough into the flesh it requires a Dc75 medicine check and 5 minutes of time to remove. After 6 hours the Hatchling will remove itself from the Host but may inject other parasites Into the Blood stream
After the Hatchling has latched onto the host it deals 1D3 piercing damage at the beginning of its turn each Round.
