Mr. Handy.



Background.

Mister Handy is a multipurpose robot developed by General Atomics International before the Great War and refined in collaboration with RobCo Industries. It was an incredibly popular model, used by government agencies, private companies, and individual citizens across the western world the Mr. Handy was used for general maintenance and construction; its many hands came equipped with buzz saws, and flamethrowers, that easily serve as weapons. Mr handy also has a single centrally-mounted jet thruster with a ground-effect skirt allowing it to hover, and a highly sophisticated neural network mimicking the functionality of a human brain.

Role in The Wasteland.

The more Domesticated Mr Handy unit can be found all across the wasteland being put to work by the various Factions and Settlements often Working as merchants, Doctors and Mechanics in the many Settlements, other Mr Handy Units can be seen conducting Research and Cataloguing pre war tech and knowledge for the Historians Guild & The Reavers, the prevalence of Mr Handy Units in homes across America before the great war has meant wherever you are in the wasteland a Mr Handy is never far away.

Age. All mister handy units were created before the Great war 200-220 years ago.

Racial Perks.

Robotic Immunity.

Thanks to their Robotic structure Mr. Handy Units are immune to the effects of Radiation. And gain Dark Vision ability.

Dark vision. You can see 30ft in darkness as if it were bright light then a further 30ft as low light.


You may Choose two of the Following perks for your mr Handy, these do not take up any attachment spaces.

Floodlight.

one of Mr Handy’s opptional attachments is a large front mounted floodlight this light casts bright light for 30ft and then a further 30ft of dim light.

Arc welder.

one of Mr Handy’s optional attachments is a small Arc welder  this attachment can be used to seal together metal plates or cut holes in metal, Requires an Engineering skill check.

Lockpick

one of Mr Handy’s optional attachments is a lockpick  this attachment can be used to unlock doors and containers, Requires a lockpicking skill check.

Weapon Repair Tools.

One of Mr Handys optional attachments is an array of weapon smithing Tools, this can be used in the space of a short rest too repair 1 fault on two damaged weapons or pieces of equipment providing he has the correct parts.

Racial Disadvantage.

Component Breakdown.

Your internal circuits and mechanical components can be damaged over time by exposure to water and extreme weather causing parts of you too seize or suffer malfunctions.

Water damage is taken when you are at least 50% submerged in water.

Mr. Unit Attachments.

Due to the Method you were constructed you cannot use Standard Tools or weapons, you may only use Mr. UNIT Specific Attachments. And you can only Have 4 active attachments at any one time, to switch attachments you must spend 1hour carrying out the upgrades and a second pc or Npc must pass a Dc100 repair check in 3 attempts.
