Pulowski Preservation.

Pulowski Preservation Services was a pre-War company, using the slogan "purveyors of products there when you actually need them."

The company was known as the designer and producer of the Pulowski Preservation shelters; last minute, coin operated one-man fallout shelters - "Nuclear protection, on a budget!" Though the shelters could shield against explosive force, tests showed they did not seem to shield against radiation. It was widely believed that the installation of so many booths was simply a profiteering scheme in the climate of fear before the Great War began. The shelters were programmed to play a short-recorded message after entering the booth "Wait for radiation to clear and enjoy your stay” and were intended to be reusable in case of false alarms or practice drills. The chamber door was locked by a Giga counter and couldn’t be opened until radiation dropped to a safe level. Once sealed inside the shelters only had an air supply, no food or water, so the occupant's survival was dependent on what they were carrying at the time. The last-minute nature of the booth meant that ill-prepared occupants were likely resigned to die from starvation if they survived the high radiation levels.
