GUARD.



Guarding the wasteland.

Guards can be found in most settlements and bases in the wasteland, watching out for raiders, thieves and conmen, and generally keeping the peace. They are used to a life of danger and learn to master weapons, with inner city guards preferring to use blunt melee weapons and guards on the gate using a variety of guns from pistols to rifles.


Prompts.

Guards are generally human and have a usually have lawful good alignment.

When creating a guard here are some things to consider.
What made you choose to be a guard?
Which settlement do you guard?
Are you willing to die for your home or are you just a guard for the title?
Why are you leaving your post?

Trait.

You can pick one trait from the list below that best suits your character, or roll 1D6 to randomly choose.

  4. I can stare down a Deathclaw without flinching.

Ideal.

You can pick one ideal from the list below that best suits your character, or roll 1D6 to randomly choose.

 

  1. Our lot is to lay down our lives for others.
  2. I must do as the leader of the settlement commands to keep order.
  3. I must do what is right for the settlement despite orders.
  4. People will always do as I say with force.
  5. There will always be crime, as sure as there will be guards.
  6. I love my home, and I will do anything to protect it.

Bond.

  1. It is my duty to protect the city and its citizens.
  2. My fellow Guards are my brothers/sisters in arms.
  3. Someone saved my life on patrol, and I still owe them to this day.

  6. I fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.

Flaw.

  1. I made a mistake once, and it cost a lot of lives.
  2. My hatred for raiders is blinding and furious.
  3. I obey the law even when it serves no good.
  4. I can be bribed easily; a few caps here, please...

Starting gear.

guards are issued with a pair of combat boots, wasteland armour chest and leg pieces and a sports helmet, they also carry a 10mm pistol with 20 bullets and a police Baton.

 

Perk & Disadvantage.

Die Scum. (Perk)

Your training has made you more effective when your in combat against raiders you do 50% more damage with all weapons.

Personal vendetta. (Disadvantage)

When you’re in combat with raiders they will kill you before attacking anyone else.
